Quote:
Sony launched this week an Alternate Reality Game that can get winners early access to the Heavy Rain demo, and guides are already up for it.

The site called "Project 52" asks players to submit four pieces of evidence. If correct, they receive a code to download the Heavy Rain demo from the European Playstation Store a week early.

Actually reaching Project 52 might be difficult for now however. The revelation of the ARG across the web however has lead to some serious overload for its servers.

Those who actually want to play the game for themselves will want to skip over the next paragraph.

According to Kotaku, the correct pieces of evidence are the Short Cigarette (117b), the Origami Bird, The Coffee Shop C (says "diner,"), and the 117h Tire Tracks. Things like the Tire Tracks and the correct coffee shop can be misread so players should be careful.

Players who get codes may have to use it on a European Playstation Network account. They would've needed one to download the demo upon its official February 11th release anyway.

GOGOGO. Just got my code ;D

Cool, but I've played 2 demos of the game already so I can wait a week.

Okay just completed the demo. It's really good, the graphics are astonishing I'd imagine in HD (Even on my crap TV I can tell these things), the story seems very interesting too. I love the combat as well

Which demo was it, or is it a brand new one?

It's the one where you start off with a tutorial, go into a "sleazy apartment" place, then leave, some guy beats up a chick and then you beat him up and save her, then you play as someone else investigating a murder.

I'm gonna wait for the game. I don't want any part of it spiled for me.

Bloody hell. When I first started playing it the 'move the R3 stick to perform actions' thing annoyed me a bit, but then after that fight my opinion was completely changed. It's so immersive and exhilarating and it's a really fresh way of going about playing.

The storytelling is also seriously top notch. The characters have got such depth to them and so very much life and the voice acting is fantastic.

Seriously, this game has blown me away. I can't wait to get the full thing now. =D

Downloaded it last night.

Firstly, amazing visuals. The gameplay's really interesting and I love how it all works so seamlessly. It would take a LOT of getting used to, but it might just be worth a purchase.

The demo didn't really do anything for me so I think I'll give this a miss or atleast wait until it comes down in price.

Thinking of cancelling my pre-order now... I've just realised how unenthusiastic I am for this.

I can actually see it being the sort of game that I'll be enthusiastic with from the beginning only to end up not playing it for months.

I loved the little features of the second bit like climbing the slippery hill only to slip and get covered in mud. And when the traffic at the top of the hill drove through a puddle and drenched him.

You could climb a hill in the second bit? =O
I thought that bit was boring. The first bit with Shelby was awesome though.

This is why this game will be good. There are entire sections you could miss out, and the game will adjust accordingly.
