Yeah, I bought that. It's pretty good actually, though I wish the monsters were a bit more varied.

I thought Far Cry 2 was pretty crap. Personally I wouldn't pay over £5 for it.

£9.99 for both Far Crys is pretty good, and I can imagine the multiplayer on FC2 PC would be good.

Steam is taking the **** with Bioshock 2. No preload, and yet again released Valve time (half 10pm tomorrow). Is it really that hard to get some sort of automation working so it releases games at midnight?

Found a pirated version, so I'll play that til then. 40 minutes to go.

Great game. Battles are brilliantly done.

Well, Steam seems to be piling on the deals this week. As well as the aforementioned Mount & Blade deal (£3.99, 85% off) and the Total War deal (full pack £13.59, 66% off), Quartz is £2.99 for a week (no, never heard of it either), and, blatantly stealing Impulse's thunder, the THQ Complete pack is 50% off (£26.49). The Steam pack is missing the Supreme Commander games, while the Impulse pack is short Saints Row 2 and Dawn Of War 2. Take your pick.

Urgh, I enjoy Mount and Blade, but I've just had to redownload it for like the 5th time because the game breaks when I'm playing around with mods.

Toki Tori was only £2.60 last week but it's now £3.50. I still reccommend it. It's a cute little puzzler, and provides enough bang for your buck. Plus it's being updated with bonus levels regularly and might have a level editor in the future. :D

Considering the WiiWare version works out at about £6.40, and doesn't get updates of any sort, that's not bad value.

Yeah, that's how I looked at it. Half the price plus HD, updates and achievements.

Just a heads up: Shattered Horizon will have a Free Weekend this weekend. The details are here, as is the pre-load link. In addition, the game will be half price during this time. (Source)

Note that it's DirectX 10 only, so I'll pass. Even if I had Vista on this machine, it'll have no chance.

[Edit] Oh yeah, and GoldenEye Source releases an update on Friday (10pm-ish our time).

If I get the PC back before then, I might give this a whirl. I've got DirectX 10 (on XP though) so hopefully this'll work.

If you look at the Steam page then it requires Vista. I didn't think XP had DX10 anyway?

These guys made it available. If I remember correctly, Baza showed me it originally.

I'm not sure if the Vista requirement on the Steam page is related to DX10 or whether it actually needs Vista.

It's the DX10 requirement. I can't see any reason why it'd be anything else..

Has anyone tried the new Beta UI? I think it looks a little cluttered, however it seems to take up FAR less memory.

Old Steam: ~39,000 K
New Steam: ~19,000 K

EDIT: Looks like a spoke too soon. After awhile it got to ~69,000K, which is what happened with the old one. Damn.
