Well, we've been doing it for well over a month now, so you may as well suck it in.

Look at it this way - what if there are no mods on when a spammer makes a post?

I think it's a fair compromise. I've known some forums that can only be joined via invites from existing members.

I got activated within literally a minute.

The longest you should ever have to wait to be initiated is half a day. ONMix moderators are just too active for you to have to wait any longer.

Just try not to make your first post in the sports forum.
