Same lol, I'm reaching the early to mid hype stage now.

Watching the same damn firefight video on youtube over and over
Browsing the reach forums frequently and compulsively
Frequent watches of vidocs and checking Bungie updates allllll the time.

Not to mention comic con this week.

I really want Forge 2.0 to be an all terrain editor, I'm doubtful but if it was something not far off Gary's mod, I'd be mega excited.

On top of that, I'm just waiting on the last wave of surprises now, on top of in depth looks on the weapons and multiplayer maps.

Oh...and isn't there one more AA?

I have found myself constantly visiting, and posting on, the Bungie.net Reach forum a lot more than I usually have. I'm just soaking in all the community love and speculation. I usually forget about the updates until I see them on the homepage and then anticipate what's being said. I've also downloaded Breaking Benjamin's 'Light's Out' track after watching that Reach machinima.com trailer (I like it and hope it's somewhere in the game, a la Halo 2).

I'm honestly not ruling anything out, with regards to Forge, after the ambition they've shown with Firefight.
Looking forward to Comic Con.

There is, indeed, one more AA.

Surely that would be a game-breaker.
The next AA is obviously going to be an AI, which allows you to hack/sabotage things and stuff.

All this customisation is pretty insane. Can't get my head around it all.
Pretty sweet that you can play Firefight from the side of the Covenant.

This is probably going to sound pretty stupid but is Halo: Combat Evolved the first game? I've decided to get the first two having never really played a Halo game other than multiplayer with friends.

The stuff that they have done with Forge is unbelievable. Forge World is just awesome. The idea that Blood Gulch is just one part of a massive map is way too cool. Looks like we'll be seeing Halo Surf maps, like in TF2 or CS:S. Being able to move pieces into other pieces so they don't clunk around is too cool. And the fact they've made it so you can be really precise is great as well. They have just streamlined the whole experience so well.

Super psyched now.

@Conor, doesn't look like it's gonna have terrain editor.

Here is the live stream I watched on the day. I don't think there was actually a stream of the event but fortunately someone was able to slyly record the presentation. It's not great quality, as you'd expect, but it's watch-able and audible enough when they're talking. Music and sound's off with dodgy bass which can interfere but I can't complain as it's better than nothing. It's great to hear the love from the fans and the fun they and Bungie are having. It's all there.

I'm unsure as to how many times I've watched that trailer now. First of all, beautiful music. The trailer definitely encompass tragedy, desperation, grand scale and a more mature and human story. That shot of the Falcon moving through the crumbling city was brilliant and I foresee it serving as an opening shot (from 6's perspective). Would be awesome if it was a controllable sequence. Love the shots of Noble Team interacting, especially that one where 6 lights the flare and lifts it against the burning sky. That vehicle charge looks awesomely grand and reminds me of that Halo image where the Chief is standing firm with two SMGs as 'hogs and Scorpions zoom past:

Elites look more vicious than ever and I'm glad we're going to be getting Covenant-based levels. Spire's one and I'm hoping the Zealot map does indicate the breaching of a Covenant ship. I think there was already a hint to a sniper mission in the 'Once More Unto the Breach' ViDoc, but that shot of them looking out at the, what seems to be glassed, area was a sight. Looks like a beautiful set-up. There's a lot of speculation regarding those dog tags, which 6 dangles from his hand and there also some attention moving towards that scene where 6 is seen aiding an, out of action, Kat (you can see a bit of the blur armour in the bottom right corner) as he fires at the dropship. I don't want Kat to die, but I know she will. Make it hard to watch, Bungie.

That last shot... Well, it's quite simply stunning.

EDIT: May 20th (End of Beta) - September 14th (Reach falls) = 117 days

I can only say I hope so; and that it would be unreal if it happened. I won't get my hopes up, though. Whatever it is, it has to be big. I'm trying to take my mind off it. I know, I'll watch a movie that couldn't be further from Halo if it tried.

I was reading more of 'First Strike' today and I'm near the book's climax. They've arrived at the Unyielding Hierophant station. I can just picture what's happening and it's beautiful. I hope for such spectacles in the Reach Campaign.
